City of Surprise hosts 4th Annual Veterans Day Parade & Pancake Breakfast Nov.12

Surprise, AZ (October 25, 2018) Join us in honoring our service men and women at the 4th annual City of Surprise Veterans Day Parade and pancake breakfast on November 12.

The breakfast, catered by Puffy Taco Food Truck, kicks off at 7:00 a.m. at Surprise Stadium in the centerfield plaza and will feature pancakes, choice of sausage or bacon, and breakfast refreshments. Pre-purchased tickets are $4 per plate and available for purchase at the Surprise Community and Recreation Services office, located at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue, or online at Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will be sold the day of for $5.

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be routed along Bullard Avenue between Paradise Lane and Tierra Buena Lane. It will feature community entries honoring the men and women in uniform who have selflessly served our country.

Parking will be available for parade attendees at the Surprise Recreation Campus, located at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. Please note in preparation for the parade, Paradise Lane between Bullard Avenue and Buck O’Neil Way will be closed at 9 a.m., and Bullard Avenue between Paradise Lane and Tierra Buena Lane will be closed at 9 a.m.

Stay after the parade to watch the Surprise Police and Fire-Medical Departments face off in a Softball Game to benefit charity. The game will be held at Surprise Stadium, 15850 N Bullard Ave. Gates will open at approximately 10:30 a.m. and the game will start at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free, and food will be provided. Join in on a 50/50 raffle to support the 100 Club, Special Olympics of Arizona and the Marine Corps League.
